Why is it that I so thoroughly enjoy watching the British House of Commons on C-SPAN? Watching the US government is boring by comparison. Parliament is a rowdy bunch of men and women all standing up and sitting down, while vying for the chance to speak next. There is a great deal of shouting, aye-ing, nay-ing, boo-ing, and general carrying-on during the commenting of the Prime Minister and the members. It looks like it would be a great deal of fun to attend a session. At least they show up. Everytime I watch the US government on C-SPAN, there is usually three people speaking to an empty room. Why is that?
