I took a hiatus on working on the room this summer. I did a few things here and there but there was o much else to do, that work did not progress as quickly as I would have liked. Well, it is time to ramp things back up, so I have finished the drywalling for the most part, primed it, and insulated part of the ceiling. Then I put up the furring strips and now am ready to varnish the tongue and groove boards and nail those puppies up. Tonight I was sanding the boards so that they would be ready to varnish. Needless to say, I was covered in the most amazing smelling sawdust and I was tempted to just dust myself off and not shower because I smelled like a wood shop. I love the smell of fresh cut wood. There’s something about it that reminds me of when I was a kid, going to the sawmill with Dad or working in the shop with Papa. Hopefully, I can get these ceilings up soon, and then it is on to painting the walls and then the tile floors and trim! Oh yeah, I did take a shower. The thought of all that dust in my bed… Yikes!
I think you need some help from your nephew Rafaele – almost 2/12 and ready with his hammer day or night. He would love to hammer those puppies 😉
Josh u have so many talents….
I can’t wait to see it all done! You have worked super hard on it all. 🙂
Blessings to you as you finish it up!
