What a strange day. Not only did I manage to sell my Acura as well as my bike, I also put the house up for sale today. That was tough. I really enjoy living here, but because of all the work the house needs to have done and the utility costs, I guess it is time to seek out new accommodations. It is a bittersweet time. I am happy to leave behind all the problems and headaches, but sad to leave the things I love about it; especially my front porch. Ah well, things change…. Speaking of change, I found myself in quite a state this morning as I suddenly realized I had tremendously limited my freedom. With no car or bicycle, I was at the mercy of others’ generosity. Fortunately, it was a short lived situation as this afternoon I found a Nissan Pathfinder to purchase. It is pretty cool, but will take some getting used to again. 1. It is an automatic. I miss my 5 speed already! 2. It is a truck. That means it doesn’t corner as nicely as the Acura did. 3. It is a v6 which means it will use more gas. Hoever, on the positive side: 1. It is a 4wd. No more struggling to get places like this past winter! 2. It is so roomy. Wow! 3. It is high off the ground. The visibility factor is pretty sweet.
