What a great day… church today (the first Sunday service of Voice Fellowship) and after wards, Corey took us all out for lunch at Panera Bread. Man, that place is so good. After that, Dave, Liz and I wandered around Mishawaka looking at cars (they want to trade theirs in for a new Civic), stopping at Barnes and Noble, and just generally relaxing. When we got back, the guy that has been staying here, Ron, and I had this brilliant idea to make a big dinner for everyone. So we went out and got a bunch of stuff and he made this awesome stir fry chicken over steamed rice… Dave and I lit the big fireplace and then Corey’s daughter, Sammie, entertained us for quite a while telling all kinds of stories. For a 4 year old, her vocabulary is quite impressive. She was saying words like, absolutely, replied, and implied. I was laughing so hard at her antics. It has been good just hanging out and getting to know people and making new friends. All in all just a really good day.
Last night Dave, Liz and I watched the count of Monte Cristo, which they had not seen. Dave was killing me because he was so intensely involved in the movie. He was like jumping around trying to predict what he “just knew” was coming next in the sequence. It is a great film though and I would highly recommend it. [Side note… Harry Potter II comes out on DVD in 65 days!]
All day yesterday, I worked on the office. Getting things organized and cleaned. We got a new desk for Dave too, which was incredibly heavy, so I had to take it apart and lug it upstairs piece at a time. But it is really nice and heavy duty, and the best part is that it was donated to us, so that’s even better. So far we haven’t spent anything at all on the office aside from the computers.
