We were at Wal-Mart the other day and how can you resist a photo with Tony the Tiger – especially when the proceeds go to Riley’s Children’s Hospital. It was grrrrrrrrrrrreat!
And finally, at long last, I was able to get a new truck for Operations at Voice Ministries. Old green was fading fast, and I have been looking for another truck for a while. Collin told me the other day that I could actually get a ticket for visual pollution. I had never heard of such a thing but apparently it is true. Old green was smoking pretty bad lately, so fortunately I did not smoke out any officers of the law.
Anyway, the price of used cars right now is high because of the recession, apparently. It really didn’t matter to me what brand I got as long as it was in good shape. So here’s the newest addition to the fleet – I call her Buttercup Jo. Probably only Dad and Sara will get that reference. She is a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 Sport with a gas sucking 5.9 litre V8 engine and 4 wheel drive. I can’t even believe how much gas it uses compared to old green.
But on the positive side, she has much more power, rides so nicely, has a radio that works and doesn’t only come out of one speaker she also matches the Sea Doo! I am pretty excited about the whole thing and I hope she lasts for a long time.
Hum sounds like a plane to me
