Tonight in IHOP

Posted on Wednesday 24 August 2005 by Joshua

It’s youth night at IHOP-M, and tonight things are really happening. Lately it’s been a bit on the dull side, but it seems as if the worship team got a fresh infusion of adrenaline or something… because they are rocking and people are interested and engaged. It’s such a balance for the team – to worship and allow the room to engage without being a cheerleader. (Of course I still believe that the engaging in worship part is up to each one of us – it is no one’s fault if I am unable to connect with the Lord. All the team does is provide the base for the connection…)

An anthemic song is rising
Holy… Holy… Holy…
The Lord is lifted up above all
Word of His holiness
Has been spread far and wide
Holy is the Lord, they shout!
A song of victory and power
Echoes across the land
Holy is the Lord God Almighty
The earth is filled with His glory
As far as you can see
As long as you can hear
The name of the Lord resonates
In the hearts and minds
Of all humanity
The name of the Lord is being glorified
His name will be praised
For no one else is like Him
Strong and Mighty
Holy and Just
All who see Him will fall
In praise and worship
And sing the anthem
Holy is the Lord
