Today is “Super Bowl Sunday” which gets capitalized because for some reason it is practically a holy day which most of America will observe with an almost religious fervor. I will continue my tradition of NOT watching this event despite the fact that “the commercials are so cool” and “you should at least watch the halftime show!” Some friends of mine are doing a live concert for the half time show at a church down the street, so that is where I will most likely end up.
It is hard being a non-sports person in a country ruled by sports fanatics. I wonder if I can get minority status for that? Hmmm… That is an interesting and provocative question worth pondering.
