time to choose

Posted on Sunday 15 February 2004 by Joshua

you can’t have it both ways.
you must make a choice.
you must decide.
are you going to be cold?
are you going to be hot?
[if you think you can be a lukewarm fence sitter, think again!]
are you for me?
or will you be against me?
[there is no middle ground.]

i love you so much my child.
so much that i gave up everything i had
power. glory. riches.
things that you can not possibly begin to comprehend or imagine.
i came to this earth.
i was misunderstood, mocked, tortured and finally killed.
for you.
all for you.

my love.
endless. limitless. eternal.
beyond your understanding.
i offer it to you.
and that is the choice.
to accept my love and live.
or reject my love and die.
both are eternal choices.

if you choose to live for me … than live!
don’t be swayed by pursuing the hollow temptations of this world.
in the end, everything you thought you had
reputation, wealth, fame, wisdom, success, awards, honors
will be nothing.
my son, i desire you to live. really live for me.
don’t be afraid to stand.
though everyone around you opposes you,
stand firm in the knowledge of the truth.
for i am with you.
backing you up.
i am the truth.
i am the rock. the unmovable, unshakeable rock.
stand with your torch held high.
stand and burn as a blazing fire in the darkness.

it is time.
it is time to throw off the bonds of apathy and self-centered living
it is time to stop stumbling around in the darkness.
no more!
you are out in the open now.
the bright light of Christ [truth] makes your path clear.
so no more stumbling around.

it is time to choose.
