Sleepling soundly in the warmth of the temporal while the fire of refinement burn in the unseen hearth of the kingdom.
Awake O sleeper! Rise up, take heed. Time is running short! Rise yourself from the half-sleep of your souls. Jesus is calling you to the dawn of a new day. He is calling you to awake to truth. Seek it out, grasp hold of it. Rise up from your slumber, shake off the sleeper! Seek first the kingdom of the living God. Refuse the siren call of the American nightmare – possessions, riches, conveniences, [and fame].
Settle for nothing less than the presence of God – Christ is the Healer, the Redeemer, the Author of Life! Live life – life in Christ!

We have lived in apathy for far too long. We are so satisfied to take whatever the world gives us without question. It is time to start thinking. It is time to start walking by faith and dying to ourselves every day. Yes, it is an incredibly painful process. But the rewards of living a life for Jesus far outweigh any sort of temporal material “thing” that we think will bring us satisfaction. We can not believe in the capitalistic American dream mentality any longer. It is a self-centered lie of satan and not even close to the heart of God. True freedom is not found in the striving for bigger and better things or positions. All those things are only a form of bondage. Bondage to a failed world system.
True freedom can only be found in intimacy with Jesus Christ. That is what I long for. It is my one desire.
