Thankful

Posted on Thursday 27 November 2008 by Joshua

It’s been quite a year to be thankful about. Some of the highlights:

  • Getting the Grand Horizon Center as a ministry – God has given us so much favor, and now we are having the provilege of using this facility in the middle of the commercial marketplace to minister to many (May)
  • Receiving a new iMac for my office – a great and amazing blessing! (August 10)
  • Being completely debt free. (July 26)
  • Having the ability to acquire two of my most favorite paintings and hang them in my office. (August)
  • Getting to visit Dave & Liz in North Carolina (April) as well as go back to BJU and see the Biltmore, Grove Park Inn and Morningstar Ministries.
  • Having Mom, Sara and the kids come to visit me this year. (October 11)
  • Getting a new 17″ laptop and giving mine away. (November 9)
  • Being able to spend alot of time at the beach this summer!

It’s cool to look back and know that I was so blessed. There were so many other things to be thankful for – the amazing times of worship at church, good conversations, being able to serve and give to others, beautiful sunrises and amazing sunsets, long drives through the country, knowing that Robert is at such a good place, grateful that Papa enjoyed another year, the privilege of living here in a place of freedom with so much when others have so little, my salvation and my faith – the list could go on and on. To put it simply; I am thankful.

Thank you! Everything in me says “Thank you!” Angels listen as I sing my thanks. I kneel in worship facing your holy temple and say it again: “Thank you!” Thank you for your love, thank you for your faithfulness; Most holy is your name, most holy is your Word. The moment I called out, you stepped in; you made my life large with strength. When they hear what you have to say, all earth’s kings will say “Thank you.” They’ll sing of what you’ve done: “How great the glory of God!” And here’s why: God, high above, sees far below; no matter the distance, he knows everything about us. – Psalm 138:1-6
