Correct me if I am wrong, but is the current trend to drive around import cars (mainly civics) with black wheels (meaning the stock elcheapo steel rims that come under your hubcaps)? I have seen so many with this look and it looks so retarded. I guess the people spent all their money on the system, the body kits, the exhaust… and now they can’t afford wheels. Let me tell you something… wheels make the car. They do! You might have the sweetest Civic in the world, but if you leave those cheapo black wheels on it, it will look like crap. At least spring for some fake spinner hubcaps. Something! [I was kidding about the fake spinners…]

I definately agree about the steelies. It looks whack. Let me inform you in case you did’nt know; JDM (japanese domestic market) is the term used for parts and assecories used on Japanese market imports. In Japan there is a tuner company called Spoon that manufactures wheels and just about every other performance part imaginable for a Honda. Well, Spoons’ signature wheel is a 15″, light weight, flat black, five spoke wheel called the SW388. The ricer kids are trying to mimic these wheels because they cost about $400.00 each. What I don’t understand is that there is a company called Rota that makes knock off Spoons that cost about $100.00 each. “JDM” is the latest trend in imports. That is a good looking Civic. I wonder why they put so much into it and skip on the wheels. maybe he is saving his money to buy some $1,000.00 a rim HRE’s. Just thought I’d comment. BTW, My CRX will soon be adorned with the $100.00 knock off version of these rims. They are strong and light, great for a track only car.
