Well, finally the end of the trilogy prequels with the [allegedly] last Star Wars movie. I have to say, it was far better than the previous two abysmal films that were foisted upon the slobbering masses… Star Wars Star Wars … must have more… Anyway, It had its weak points (still too much CGI for my liking) but it finally tied the story together. [**EDIT** The next few sentences may spoil the movie if you have not yet seen it. Sorry Eric!]One of the things that struck me most about the movie was Palpatine – the man who we would later know as “The Emporer.” The man was pure evil. He was a picture of Satan in the garden tempting Eve. The Jedi only want you to know one part of the force, but you need to know both dark and light to fully understand the nature of the force, he craftily lied. He took Anakin in by appealing to his immediate need – that Padme would not die – I can offer you the power to overcome death and even reverse it. So as I watched that, I again was struck by how much deception goes on even now. Satan is the master deceiver and I reckon that nary a day goes by without another person being filled with His lies and leaving the narrow path.
In other weekend news, I powerwashed the SeaDoo and brought it to get “summerized” so that maybe if the weather is nice next weekend… I might just take it out on the lake. We shall see. Somehow, while washing the SeaDoo, Robert and I ended up washing and doing the interiors of Evelyn’s Grand Cherokee and Candy’s GrandAm. I also waxed the 4Runner. Fun times.
Dad called me yesterday and I discovered he is reading my site now. So welcome dad to the wonderful world of weblogs. (Or, as my mother says, “bloj.”)

Oh buddy! I saw it too. I was awe-struck at the master deceiver! What I noticed is that his job was simple. All he did was say to Anikan “If I were you, I would wonder why they don’t make you a Master Jedi” . . . BOOM! The seed was planted! That is how he brought out all of the uglies! Now all areas of Anikan that were not renewed and at peace were exposed and inflamed….primarily his pride, insecurity, his shaky but growing steadily footing with his faith in the force and his anger and frustration for injustice and ill-fated events (his mothers death)….it was all brought to the surface in a huge throbbing mass of black, gritty hell in a handbag. Oh yea, it spoke volumes to me. Ouch.
