It’s here. I just know it. To celebrate its arrival, I took the plow off the truck. Once I take that thing off, there is no going back. (Mainly because it is such a pain to put back on.) But it is so nice to be able to get in and out of parking spaces with ease now that that big thing is off. There’s nothing like squeezing through a drive through teller lane at the bank, both sides of the plow scraping the concrete, praying that you won’t tear something off. Anyway, the plow is off and today is supposed to be in the 70s. The Trek Y made its appearance last night. Put some air in the tires and took it for a spin. One nice thing about living so close is that I will be able to ride my bike to work all the time! I love spring. I love the smells, the sounds and the sights of life returning. On Sunday, because it was so amazing outside, I drove to Michigan City with the sunroof open and just enjoyed the day. The ice was breaking up – all gathered along the shores of Lake Michigan. Robert and I walked way out on the ice piles. We had a goal in mind, but when we finally got out there, huge chunks of the ice started falling off, and we thought it would be wise to return to the safety of dry land before we became Darwin award winners. Anyway, it was an awesome day and I am so glad spring is here. Let the spring cleaning commence!
I LOVE spring too! It is my favorite season. So do you guy still have snow? Today it was really weird… 67 degrees outside and then random piles of snow. I was like, is that really still snow. Then I grabbed a handful of snow, sure enough it froze my fingers, made a snowball and threw it… yep it was definitely snow when it 67 degrees outside. weird
Heh, I’m glad you could take some time to yourself, especially in this awesome weather. I remember walking out on the ice at Lake Michigan, and I’m glad you guys used wisdom and decided not to chance it. Those pictures are absolutely amazing, by the way. When I have my own place, I want to fill my apartment with Joshua P. photographs. You really have a knack for that.
Hey, at least there wasn’t enough snow to plow.
Again, I’m blaming it on Canada. They can have their snow AND their cold front back. Even if it didn’t come from up north, it’s still somehow, magically their fault.
Booooo.
(Yes. I’m being facetious. I actually love Canada. They have awesome cheese, eh.)
I didn’t think that Michigan could be that pretty…Looks more like Alaska or something. Glad you didn’t die!
