Snow Surprise

Posted on Monday 6 March 2006 by Joshua

Last evening it decided to snow… and it is beautiful. We have not had much snow at all this winter – I guess we are about 36″ behind the normal snowfall. Dave Carey called me last night and mentioned that I should go out and take some night shots of the snow, which was a great idea. I had his camera – a Nikon D70 – and it is always a pleasure to use. There is just something so awesome about being out in the stillness of the night with the softly falling snow, and being out in the early morning, before the world awakens… (well except for that one barking dog that sacred the life out of me as I walked through the trails this morning). Anyway, here are a couple shots from last night and then some from this morning.

Absolutely beautiful! What a beautiful serene walk you must have had, even with the dog!

Were you just doing long exposure times with the infrared filter?

Josh you have such a gift when it comes to taking pictures. I agree with Casey, they are beautiful even tho I prefer looking at them instead of being in them.
