Snow Finally Arrives

Posted on Monday 29 January 2007Monday 29 January 2007 by Joshua

Well, I am amazed that it has been 11 days since my last update. My deepest regrets to my friends Dave and Liz who are on safari in Afrique (you have to say that with a British accent) and who have been checking this frequently only to see my lack of postings. And all the times I have been on them for not posting. I say! Things have been busy lately – but I guess that is always my excuse. Yesterday, although it was frigid – 5 degrees outside plus windchill – Robert and I took a walk and enjoyed the crisp, clean air. I have definitely been spending alot of time in the truck plowing snow, but sometimes it is good to fill your lungs with good cold air.

Robert celebrates crossing the ice puddle without falling through.

Joshua just celebrates breathing deeply.

I think it’s only appropriate that I’m the first to comment…
I can’t even wrap my brain around being that cold right now. I’ve only been hot, hot, hot since we’ve been here. Well…actually I was chilly in the northern part of Africa in the morning and at night. But, by chilly I mean it was probably 50’s.
Anyway, if we don’t get ahold of Corey before Wednesday maybe you could mention that he could grap our coats from our room and bring them to the aiport. Thanks!

Its nice to see that you finally updated! 🙂 I won’t take offense to the fact that I am 900 miles away and often frequent your page as well! heheehe! Okay, nice to see you are all enjoying the snow. There hasn’t been much here!

I must say, I am a fan of the snow. The way it falls, how it crispins the air. My kids running and falling and having a blast in it. I could not live in a place where it did not snow at least a month a year. Well, good to see your cheery snow pictures. I’ll have to post some myself soon.
