Sneaky Petes

Posted on Monday 26 November 2007 by Joshua

It’s been a flurry of activity with the Starks coming back into town to pack up their home and get ready to move to Kansas City. In the midst of all the craziness, Dave and Liz Carey sneaked into town and showed up on Sunday morning at church. It is so good to see them, and to have them involved with helping the Starks move. The past two nights have been a great time of speed Scrabble, MegaMonopoly, and interesting conversations. It is funny to see all the different dynamics that come out of people in games. Cracks me up.

So it is so odd to see Corey moving out. He was the first one at the Camp – lived there for a year before I moved in. There are so many things around the Camp that have his mark on them… and it is going to be so different now that he is officially gone. New season, I suppose, but still there is a big hole that’s been missing for a few months and now is really going to be “gone.” The cool thing is that God has them on a great journey and has an amazing destiny for them as a family. The seeds they have planted here will flourish, as will the seeds that were planted in them while they were here.  This season was one that brought reconciliation to them as a family, and that will never be forgotten.

Nothing is too great to bring a family together again. Nothing like a healing center like Voice to bring about restoration in partnership with the Holy Spirit. Its truly another mark of honor for this place. I dearly love my friends.

Thanks Joshua! This has been an incredible journey for us all. There is lots to say but not too much space to say it. We had a great visit and move. I will play speed scrabble with you any day, any time my friend. That was GREAT!!!! You will be sorely missed, as will everyone. Deep breath.
