We arrived in KC last night at around 6:30. I haven’t been here since the fall of 2002. There is a new facility for the House of Prayer which is awesome. It is so much nicer than the old one (and much bigger too).
There was a guy speaking on healing, and it was very encouraging, motivating, and challenging. One major point was that so often our lives are lived in such a way that we are the focus. It is about our needs. The truth is that we have lost the position of the centrality of God. It is easy to say that it is all about Him… but is it something we live everyday? I know for me that is not the case. I seem to focus so much on the healing and not the healer. And that is what the point of the House of Prayer is. When the House of Prayer is established, then healing will be able to happen. The outer courts must be cleansed. A way must be made for God to move. Some good thoughts.
We stayed until that was over – around 10, and then made a quick trip to Walmart. We were back here by 10:30 or so and stayed until 12:30.
The apartment is pretty nice. It is probably early 80’s, but very clean. There is one bedroom/living area, a full kitchen and bath. It has one of those showers like my brother had in Colorado – 6×3, all tile with incredible water pressure. It practically pushes you across the room. I have decided that when I build a house someday, it will have a shower like this. It is heavenly. The best part of the apartment … no TV. I am so glad. They are so tempting and distracting, and that is the last thing I need here.
So I am not sure what today will bring. Mike Bickel is speaking tonight, and I am looking forward to that. The internet was so slow in here last night which is why I am posting this morning. It is raining this morning.
Hi, Joshua! Welcome to Kansas City. I hope you enjoy your time here and your special time with the Lord. KC is a lovely place to visit, and a pretty nice place to live, too, I think. 🙂
I am so glad you are having a good time. I am excited about the next time I get to go. I love being in their prayer room because its sooo BIG! Anyway… Have an amazing time full of aweosme revelation. Miss you both and know your loved.
