Rant of the day: Ok, here’s my question. What’s the deal with those infomercial people? I mean where do they come up with these folks? I have never met anyone who is that excited about a food chopper or an ab cruncher. These hosts are just insanely excited about their product! Why do they have to shout about their product? You know the guy with the special wax for the car? He is nuts! He is shouting about how it will make a car in the junkyard look like new! Or the Orange Glo guy. He was like a crazed freak running around with these dirty cabinet doors and scrubbing them… so excited he can barely talk. Then the really excited people I saw this morning with the amazing food chopper. “Wow! This food chooper even chops whole peanuts right into peanut butter!” shrieked the cheesy blonde cohost with an ear-to ear grin. “Mmmmm, and oh so good and smooth.” And then they ask the audience to taste or try stuff and they are so incredibly cheesy! People oooing and ahhing about it like they have never ever seen (or tasted) such a marvelous wonder. Where do they find these people who will be that dorky on TV? All I can figure is they must pay them well or something. I guess for a few hundred $$ I might put on a big show of surprise too. But then there are the testimonials from all these satisfied people who can’t believed they have lived this long without their new automated combination heated ice scraper / toaster oven / which also tells time in six languages all for the one time low price of 18 easy payments of $19.95 a month … but wait! They called in the next 12 minutes and got the free mini scraper / steak knife set which also comes a free set of ear muffs. Thanks to king of informercials � Ron Popeil and the Showtime Rotisserie our lives are now so much full.
