Well, the people have spoken… Barack Obama was elected tonight. I just watched John McCain’s concession speech and his words of patriotism and hope. He is an honorable man and I can only imagine how difficult it was to give that speech.
Interesting days lie ahead for our country.
I read on Yahoo that Indiana’s electoral votes went to Obama. That would be a first for Indiana known as a red state. I am interested to see what happens next. This is a historical occasion but I’m more interested in what change is actually gonna take place. Like most situations in life, I’m tired of talking about change and I want to actually witness it. In all things.
**This is not an Obama nor McCain endorsement. Just a random guy thinking**
I’m sick to my stomach and hopeful of heart.
I can’t believe people voted for Mitch Daniels!! Wasn’t it bad enough that he sold us out, changed our time? Didn’t he do enough?
I don’t think we should vote for someone just to make history? I think we need to pray for our country!!!
Grandma i totally agree that we need to pray for our country. But before we pray for our country we need to pray for obama, we need to pray that God would touch him and his family. That he would know Jesus as his savior. I totally believe that God put him in office for a reason, God puts kings in kingdoms and He also tears them down. So i believe that God will tear him down. But we as Houses of Prayer have a privilege to pray for him.
On a good note, America has broken past its racist roots. On a not so good note, we have chosen to agree with darkness as a nation – those who devise evil by law… death of the unborn.
All we can do is continue to pray for light and truth to break in. If God could turn the heart of Nebuchadnezzar, He can certainly lead Obama into all truth!
Let’s not forget Rom 13 – God sets all authority in place. Our job is to pray. God always has the big picture in view – He wants a church that prays i.e. a House of Prayer.
If this doesn’t do it, I don’t know what ever will 🙂
