Do you realize that 4,400 babies are killed every day in the United States? Imagine that if you took 4,400 children and put them all in one place and just gunned them down. Imagine the public outcry, the spectacle. the horror. Everyday, 4,400 innocent lives are taken. Where is the outcry? Where is the church? Why have we allowed this to continue for 31 years? I ask myself these questions because I have stood by in silence for a long time, pretending that the abortion debate was just an overblown political issue. But I realize that abortion is a holocaust. 50 million innocent lives have been taken since 1973. There is a blood guilt upon the nation, far greater than that of the days of slavery.
And it may take a tsunami to wake us up. Do you realize that one of the largest child porn rings was completely wiped out in Asia from the tsunami? Is that what it will take for America to wake up? Will it take devastation for the sleeping church to awaken and link arms in unity and cry out for justice? Tonight for over 6 hours, more than a hundred of us gathered in this House of Prayer and cried out to God for His mercy. To give us mercy for standing by silently while millions were murdered. To give us mercy for passing a law that never should have been passed. To give us mercy and allow the Supreme Court to hear the case on January 18th and to overturn Roe v. Wade.
Move us out of our comfort, Lord. Let us be willing to stand for life. This is not a political issue. This is about innocent lives being taken. This is about standing up in unity – the church, the body of Christ – and crying out with one voice, No more we will allow this. No more will the horror of 4,400 lives taken every day happen in this land. Is there not a cause? Is this not a worthy cause?
Lord, spare us from the justice that we truly deserve. Give us mercy.
I used some of your info. Thank you. I am praying it will shake some folks I know that aren’t at the place of repentance like we are.
