Every piece of my body aches. Even my left eye.
The past 2 days have been major renovation/cleaning days here at Voice with another 2 days to go. We deck washed the pool room as it was covered in a film of mildew. Now to those who don’t know about deck wash, it is like extra strength bleach times 50. Deck wash is not recommended for indoor use. So while I hacked, coughed, and squinted my way through the spraying process (the ceiling is like 12 ft. high) I did manage to bleach my shirt, and even though my hair was soaked with the stuff, I managed to come out of it unscathed. One of the guys here powerwashed it all off, and that was a job. The room is about 45×30, so it is alot of area to clean. Before all this spraying, we tore up the vintage 70’s brown indoor/outdoor carpet which covered the floor. In the midst of all this, I was also cleaning the barn out. We have a large barn full of … stuff. Basically, we have the contents of several restaurant kitchens which we plan to sell on Ebay. So after this very long day, in which I ended up being covered with filth, I showered and took off for Lowes in Mishawaka where I purchased 4 ceiling fans. Of course I had to stop by Super Target and get some stuff, so at the end of this long day… I slept very well.
Today dawned bright and and early with 8am finding me ready to rock. I did alot of powerwashing today. The bridge, the whole parking lot and barn … My whole body was just numb from the vibration of the 300 psi of water pulsing through the gun. I was covered with mud as I quickly discovered what NOT to do with a power washer. Don’t ever point it straight down at a mud-filled crack and spray. That will result in a large volume of mud to be hurtled directly at your legs and head region at a high velocity. But I am clean now. And wiser.
Tomorrow morning, some INSANE PERSON scheduled the exterminator to arrive at 6am to de-pest the whole house. Meaning we must be gone by then. 6am. That is craziness I tell you. Craziness. Oh well, we are all going to breakfast and then another day of barn cleaning. Yee haw.
Brad’s a wuss. 🙂
Wow… you are so much more of a man than I. I ran a slight fever and called off this morning. I suck.
