Of Justice and Favorite Photos

My friends, Corey and Meredith Stark, recently had their second child – a beautiful little girl named Justice. They have an awesome story of restoration and the Lord promised that things that had been taken would be restored… and this was one of those things. They have a daughter, Samii who is now 13 I think! Can’t even believe that. So now Samii has a new sister who adores her already! Yesterday they came to Voice – Corey was speaking and we got to hang out on the porch at Bob’s for a while afterward. It was a good old fashioned southern style porch sit complete with wandering chickens. I got to hold Justice and believe me, this always makes me so nervous. They’re these “small little” bundles of squirmy arms and legs with tiny fingers and toes and you never know what is going to set them off. And of course I am always afraid I am going to drop them. But Justice is such a peaceful little baby, so beautiful. I am privileged to be able to be a part of their lives.

But I did ok, despite my trepidation, but not as good as future daddy Dave Carey. Oh yes folks, since they are telling people, I figured I may as well blog about it here. They came over the other night and we were talking and showing pics on the phones, and then Dave says, “oh, well this is one of my new favorite pictures right here,” and hands me his phone. It is the close up of this white thing that says EPT and it has a blue plus sign on it. I said, “uhhh… yeah that is an interesting shot. What is it?”  See, it is not every day that I see one of those things. They both just smiled and didn’t say anything, waiting for me to figure it out. And then I was like “Oh! Oh! Oh my gosh!!!!!!!” Literally jumping up and down. Wow. I am really excited for them. So a new baby is on the way for my good friends Dave & Liz Carey! I couldn’t be more pleased. And they were right. I had no idea why they were coming over. Here I thought it was to see my new kitchen cabinets, haha!
