The beauty of these blogs is the fact that you can look back and see where you were a year ago … two years ago … three years ago (for those of us doing it that long now). I find it fascinating to see what I was thinking, what I was doing then.
September 2001 – I went home and walked in the crick. That’s right, I said crick. Went to an Adirondack furniture show with Matt, Trish, Dad and Sara in Blue Mountain Lake. The World Trade Center was destroyed by evil militant Islamics.
September 2002 – I ranted about people who smoke, megachurches, that awful song MacArthur Park (Someone left the cake out in the rain, I don’t think that I can take it cuz it took so long to bake it and I’ll never have that recipe again), wrote about artistry, the tongue and the damage it can do (wow, that’s still a big one!), where the joy is in our lives, and the kitchen chopper from China nonsensical instructions (… For the cleaning, to pull the inferior bell and to release the recipient Superior. Well to rinse the machine, if possible to the running water. Re-assembly in senses inverts. All parts metallic are executed in a materials has the test of the rust.)
September 2003 – got a new Volvo, ranted about the DoNotCall list and was chided to stop talking and act (which I did and appreciate the wake up call on that one Kevin!), found out I would die on Nov. 18, 2068, ranted about Bush’s misleading statements, went to the auto auction, and answered a couple of those surveys.
Anyway, it is fun to go through the old archives. I just hope I am growing and moving forward and not falling back. I feel like I am advancing, so I guess that is a good thing. I need to watch my ranting and remember to speak in love and remember that I am a child of God. God is good and He keeps blessing again and again. I can’t even begin to comprehend the great things that have happened already this year, and I know far greater things await me.
Always remember Josh change is good and always think out of the box……….
From the time I met you til now you have grown and advanced in the Kingdom of God! I am excited about the things God is doing in you and through you. Your a great guy and a great friend. Don’t ever change. (sorry, that last line I had to put…sounds like a yearbook signature. 🙂 Change if the Lord asks you to but don’t if the world does….) Love ya my brotha!
