Lingo

Posted on Wednesday 11 February 2009 by Joshua

Lingo, jargon, words… it’s all fascinating to me. Recently, I learned two new urban words to add to my extensive vocabulary. (For a fascinating look at how people speak, check out the Urban Dictionary where you can add your own entry to the mix.) Cameron is helping me become more aware of the “public school speak” that’s out there in rural Indiana.

The first term I learned was “spitting game.” This strange term refers to “when a person tries to pimp someone of the female persuasion. Many times it involves one male macking many other females.” I can’t imagine ever having to use this in a sentence, let alone say it out loud with a straight face.

Today, I learned that those really big sunglasses that are so cool for the ladies are called “stunnas.” That one really cracks me up for some reason, but at the same time, it actually makes sense.

A meaningless post, but I had to write these down before I forgot them.
