I have been working for the past week or so on a 28 page magazine for the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches. I enjoy these design projects as I get to ear a little money to keep things rolling and because I get to exercise my creativity. It’s fun bouncing ideas off Dave Carey and hearing his perspective on the colors and typography. Dave is made of rubber, apparently (see last sentence.) At any rate, sometimes designing cuts into my sleep time because deadlines must be met… So I’m a bit tired.
I had a brief respite from the screen yesterday as we spent the morning building a new 8×8′ planter in the front yard and then going to get a truckload of dirt for it. After that was all done, I though going swimming sounded like a good plan, so I found someone to cover for me (running Powerpoint) and headed off to Silver Beach in St. Joe, Michigan. Beautiful place to go… and the water was wonderfully cold. It was 86 and humid when we left Elkhart, but Silver Beach (about and hour northwest) was 76 and windy. I didn’t mind at all.
At any rate, that’s about all I have to say for the moment. I guess I could tell a joke… hmmm… let me think…
Two peanuts walked into a bar. One of them was assaulted. Or was that a-salt-ed. booo hisss… get off the stage…
Glad you were able to take a break from Indiana and enjoy some beautiful sand in St. Joe. I love that place. I will be headed to Ocean Park (Atlantic Ocean) on friday in Maine. 🙂 Taking my Leadership Development Kids to the Beach and to meet the LDP’s at Oceanwood! Anyway, I am thinking of you and praying for you! >Darc-
