It’s been a while since I wrote in here. Life this week was so incredibly busy… It just seems that a week went by and nothing was accomplished at work. We had so many meetings (which were really good and interesting) but in terms of physical work accomplished, I felt like nothing was done.
Then I found this cool 1998 Jeep Wrangler Sahara for sale and test drove it last evening. I talked to the bank today and even got approved at National City. I am just not really sure if I am going to do it though. Two of the bankers at other banks that I spoke with were Christians and essentially told me that they would not do it even though the price is right and it is a nice vehicle. So that was interesting because I asked God to let me know what to do and I think that might be an indication that I need to take my time and not rush into anything. Essentially they recommended that if my truck is running ok, maybe I should consider just keeping it. In the end it might be cheaper. So now I am rethinking all of it. Maybe if I just take it in and see how much it will be to fix all the little things that are wrong with it, that will help me make up my mind.
Here’s my list of what I need to fix on this thing:
dash light (so i can see the temp gauges), driver’s side mirror (which was hit by an ice chunk from a semi at 55 mph during Christmas break), new tires, a CD player that works, new speakers (they are mostly all blown), new brakes, new belts, the driver’s door lock (it is messed up and occasionally will just lock the whole truck without warning), running boards (need to be sanded and painted), there are also a few more rust areas that need attention before they get too bad, oxygen sensor (i am tired of banging on it with a hammer), wiring harness for the trailer lights, a new wiper blade on the back … i would love to put new rims on it, a brush guard and raise it up a couple inches… but thats more of a want than a need …
