Idol Finale

Idols

Well kids… it’s over. Season 7 ended with the battle of the Davids – Cook from KC and Archuleta from SLC – and the winner was David Cook. I really thought that Archuleta had it, but once again, as I did last year, I voted for the one with the best vocal talent. I also voted for the one who came off the most humble and that was Archuleta by far. No worries though, I am sure with his amazing ability and cuteness factor, he will be able to make an album that all the preteen girls will love. Really they were two very different sides of the spectrum. Cook is a gritty rocker with a great stage presence while Archuleta is a balladeer with crystal clear clarity and amazing pitch. But in the end, the older man took the prize. And even though the show was drawn out as they love to do, there were two shining moments for me: Ryan almost fell off the stage while he was driving around on that flying carpet thing – hilarious. The other was the “I am Your Brother” guy who was invited back to do his special song – this time with a live marching band. The show was a fine end to one of the most interesting seasons of American Idol.

I completely agree with this blog 100%. I was all for the lil guy but David Cook had all the rest. Musicianship, stage presence, and singing. Oh-well, I did however almost die a slow painful death when George Michael was singing. He couldn’t be done fast enough.

Well, I am glad that there is no more idol for a while. That means I won’t be watching tv!! Woot Woot!!

    Have a good night!!

I also had Archuleta picked to win. He has perfect pitch and had flawless performances. Something about Cook got on my nerves like the whole ego thing and I thought some of his songs were weak. But hey, the guy is a rock star. Congrats to him
