ice-escapades

the frozen sand covered waves on lake michigan was an unsettling but adventuresome walk yesterday.

beneath the waves of frozen snow that crunched under my nikes, the icy waters of the great lake michigan waited … certain to close around me, blocking off my oxygen, and smothering me in cold stillness to seal my doom.

morbid, perhaps. but that’s what i usually think of whan i walk on the ice. i don’t know why, but i am just not a big fan of traversing great distances of ice. i see all those cracks and hear all those snapping sounds and it just freaks me out.

give me the good old terra firma any day, thank you very much.

oh my good gosh, i would NOT be out there. i’d be terrified! if i fell thru i’d surley die. of panic. from the cold water, not being able to find my way up, and fish.

Just a small streamcovered with ice is beautiful in the moonlight.

Sacandaga Lake – 4 wheelers, snow mobilles, cracking ice shudder!

It is beautiful to view from afar………
