At one time, I was a huge Honda fan. They were just amazing cars. And I know that Honda is still a good vehicle, but yesterday, as I passed the Honda dealership, I was amazed to see the new Honda Ridgeline truck. I am not sure whether or not they decided to hire some designers from GM (which has some of the ugliest cars ever designed … Chevy Avalanche … Pontiac Aztec anyone?) but this truck ranks right up there in the ugly category. That category is no stranger to most car manufacturers, but recently Honda has come out with a string of unattractive vehicles. [Now keep in mind that these are somewhat innovative and may even be good, durable cars, but the truth is that they are not attractive vehicles.] Here are my top three:

The Honda Insight… amazing gas mileage for sure, but why did they have to make their hybrid (an awesome idea) some sort of futuristic, bizarre-looking ugly vehicle?

The Element – again, another cool idea, just a poorly executed design. They were aiming at young people and ended up hitting seniors. That was funny to me.

The Ridgeline Truck – the newest casuality of the Honda designers. What’s with the back of that thing? It looks like an Avalanche knockoff.

What about the new civic?

Your nuts… the element is hott (2 T hot factor)… yeah the insight is certainly you-glee but I also like the boxiness of their new pickup truckeroo. silly wonderbox. word.
Yeah dude, what’s up with that? Is Honda going down hill? I thought Americans bought them out and started making them. Is that true?
