holy grail

Posted on Monday 22 November 2004 by Joshua

my sister and i have a little war going on. see, a long time ago, when we were younger (not a whole lot), we had this copper wine glass that we all liked to drink out of just because it was cool. we called it the holy grail because it looked like the holy grail from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. so anyway, when i left home to find my fortunes in indiana, and sara moved out to her palatial mountain home, somehow, strangely enough, the holy grail found its way into her cubinoard (kuh-bin-erd) which is Sara speak for cabinet/cupboard. anyway, i was recently at her home, searching for something with which to cool my parched throat, and happened to remember the grail. i made the mistake of asking her where it was, to which she immediately ran and snatched it away from my outstretched fingers. i vow that at some point, the grail will make it to indiana and stand proudly in my glass fronted cabinet. someday. when i have a kitchen of my own again. the grail was my favorite drinking vessel… i must posess it.

we had yogi bear and fred flintstone sippy-type mugs that were constantly fought over as well as a quick bunny cup (his ears were the double-handles)… ahhhh, childhood… how sweet sibling rivalries could be. word.
