This week at IHOP-Michiana we are focusing on praying for Israel. We had the opportunity yesterday in a fellowship prayer meeting where we interceded for two hours for the nation of Israel. Last night, we had some guests from Israel come to the Lodge. Guy Cohen with Tents of Mercy in Acco (the city in Israel that we pray for every hour at IHOP) and Deputy Director General Mier with the government of Israel came to be with us for a few days as we focus on their nation. It was alot of fun meeting them and asking questions about Israel. It was funny to see the interaction between the two of them – almost a regular comedic routine. We all laughed with them as they went back and forth with verbal sparring and storytelling, alternately breaking into Hebrew then English… It was great fun! Director Mier will be meeting with Mayor Dave Miller of Elkhart, IN tomorrow about partnering Acco, Israel with Elkhart to be sister cities, which is exciting. It is amazing to think that this small area of the earth should have such impact on world events (what other nation is in the headline news almost daily?) but it should come as no surprsie, because the heart of the LORD is for Israel. As a nation, we need to be in continual support and constant prayer for Israel… for those who bless Israel will also be blessed!
miss you buddy. glad to see that things are going well!
