Had a wonderful time with my good friends Dave & Liz Carey this past week. It was so good to see them and have good stimulating conversation and be encouraged. Good friendships take time and this one is going on a few years now. I first met Dave in 1996, so we have known each other for a long time now. I never imagined that 15 years and change later we would still be good friends.
Check out their bloj if you get the opportunity – http://daveliz.com – where they post sweet desktop imagery and encouraging words to live by (as well as cool stories about their life). They are running hard after the things of God and living lives of purity and holiness.
Over the years, we had so many discussions about debt freedom and stewardship – they have encouraged me, and I them – and they are getting close to celebrating their day of freedom from the bondage of debt! I can’t wait to get the call!
We figured we would take a group photo in my office since it has been a while. Bob calls this my “dead tree” shirt, and since we took it in front of the infamous Tim Young Psalm 150 painting, I thought I should stand out a bit. Dave and Liz look so dapper as always.
This simply warms my heart! 🙂
We’re so thankful for you! You have poured so much into Dave and I over the years and we’re just so grateful! Thank you! P.S. Nice shoes. 🙂
