Surprise Party
It was good to enjoy a get-together with friends for a surprise party for Denny Rogers yesterday at the LightHouse in Mishawaka. Denny is like a father and grandfather to several of us at Voice. We meet monthly for family dinner. Well, this time we surprised him. Other than the awesome rice (thanks ladies!), one of the highlights was watching Jacqui drumming on the djembe.
Good Friend
A shout out to one of my good friends here – Collette. She is a tremendous source of encouragement to me, and is a constant help and provider of humor (she’s the one who thought gullible really had been taken out of the dictionary). But she also helped me carry a large heavy desk upstairs, and is not afraid to get dirty (she works with horses… enough said). Anyway, thanks Collette for all you do. You rock.
Vernal Equinox
Yesterday was the vernal equinox. That means that the sun crosses the celestial equator and that day and night are both equal. I found it significant that yesterday we moved the International House of Prayer-Michiana from one place to another. The place of day and night intercession and worship moving on the date where day and night are equal length.
Rants
What’s the deal with this phrase that I keep hearing. “Small Little.” For example: “I was driving down the street and I saw this small little house for sale.” I don’t know if it is a midwesternism or if anyone else out there has heard it, but i do not understand it at all. It is completely redundant.
Other Incoherencies
We have a new member to our family… His name is Bean and he is a long haired Chihuahua. He’s a good dog, very small and very quiet. Which is good. If he was a yapper, well, that would not be good at all.
Collin and Aaron. Aaron is Collette’s kid and Collin is Adrianna’s kid. They both are rather dramatic goofballs, but I guess we were all 15 once.
hehehehe!
Sadness in my heart, I didn’t know about Denny’s birthday party. I call Him dad too. 🙁
Glad you are well!
