For some interesting insight into the spiritual battle that we are fighting every day… Read Rick Joyner’s book entitled The Final Quest. Wow! Powerful stuff about a vision he had about the battle in the spirit realm.
There is a section in this book that deals with the Religious (or Critical) Spirit. They deal with how we respond to other brothers and sisters in Christ. There are about 25 ways that are shown that the enemy uses to gain a foothold in our lives. He thrives on division. The old adage is often true – We Christians are notorious for stabbing our wounded.
We have to realize that the war is against the enemy – satan and his lies. We (the church, the sons of God) must be a body and fight as ONE. It is all about Jesus. That is the whole point. It doesnt matter if you dunk 3 times, 6 times or are sprinkled with water. It doesnt matter if your church sings hymns or rocks the house with electric guitars. All those foolish things that so many people think are so essential are so meaningless when it comes down to why we are here.
What matters is that our purpose is to bring glory to God with our worship, lead others to Him by our actions and words, and disciple them so that they can continue the cycle.
There is a war going on folks. We have overcome the enemy by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. Today is the day. Make your stand. Take back the land that enemy has stolen from you. Thus far and no more � I will not be defeated. I will not allow the enemy to push me around anymore. I will not allow the enemy to gain any more ground. I will not allow silly arguments and petty divisions to put walls and dividers between my brothers and sister. I will not allow the enemy to use the world’s many distractions to take my mind off this battle. Clothed with the full armor of God and bathed in prayer, I am going to pick up my sword and fight in the name of the Lord.
I can do ALL THINGS through Christ who gives me strength. Amen.
