Today was a great day. My plan was to meet up with Corey Stark and see what all he does at IHOP. It was an invaluable day because of the various conversations and meetings that happened. Joseph, a guy I met who works with Corey, encouraged me greatly. Asking questions, sharing the journey and telling the stories is a good thing. There’s something about finding someone who is so much like you and has walked the same road and has dealt with some of the same issues and who has some great advice to offer and encouragement to extend. Another conversation with Robert’s roommate – a deep thoughtful man who has a heart for the Lord – was again, encouraging. The “behind the scenes” tour of IHOP was cool – seeing the GodTV production areas as well as what actually goes on behind the singers and musicians. Before that, I got to sit in on an IHOP team briefing. These guys and girls are the real deal – they are passionate and deep, they delve past the surface and what they sign and play reflects the depth of their study and the longings of their hearts. Listening to the excitement and passion in Corey’s voice and knowing that he is doing exactly what he was made to do is also awesome. I know that God called him here and seeing their whole family restored and having fun together does my heart good. Their testimony will encourage others who are struggling on their journey, but knowing that they have chosen this road as a family and are walking boldly forward is fantastic. Seeing the rewards of their faith is also very cool! I am excited for them and the over-the-top amazing things that God has in store for this place. The next phase is going to be so unlike anything seen before, and I am thrilled to see it unfolding. All in all, just a very encouraging trip and I am already re-energized and excited. Tomorrow it is off to Iowa to visit my friend Zac and his family.
Tell Zak I said hi….

Sounds like the Lord once again gave you just what you needed just when you needed it.
Hope yo have a good rest of your trip!

That’s awesome to hear. I’ve been “off the grid” for a few days, so I look forward to hearing some of your KC/Iowa stories.
