Farmer’s Market

Posted on Monday 22 May 2006Wednesday 24 May 2006 by Joshua

They are building a huge farmers market on the property where I live. It is supposed to be one of the largest post and beam structures in the US. I was looking at all the piles of beams the other day – they have been handcut and carved by Amish craftsman. I can’t wait until they have the barn raising. So to give you an idea of how big these beams are… here’s a picture of me next to two of them. It is an amazing smell… fresh cut douglas fir. I love it.
