There was an F3 tornado that hit southern Indiana this weekend. I was listening to the news a few minutes ago and heard something that really annoyed me. They said, “The death toll for the tornado has been reduced from 22 to 21 because they were counting an 8 month old fetus as one of the victims.” As if to say, that baby’s life was so insignifcant, it won’t even be included in our count of people who lost their lives in a tornado. In fact, we won’t even call it a baby, we”l be sure to call it a fetus, thus further de-humanizing it. I am about tired of those who think that a baby in the womb is not alive, is not a life, is not significant. I beg to differ…
From the AP “Marsha Tweedy broke into tears Sunday as she walked through the remains of the Warrick County farm house where her 28-year-old daughter, Cheryl Warren, died. They found the roads blocked by authorities and later learned the storm had killed Warren a dental assistant who was eight months pregnant her 4-year-old son, Isaac, and her husband, Jeremy, a truck driver. They were a beautiful family, Tweedy said.”
I am glad you updated, and I would also have to say AMEN! I am tired of it too. Ya know that Renee is pregnant and at 4 weeks along they saw the babys heart beat. Isn’t that so amazing!
don’t even get me started.
people have really gotten good at avoiding and ignoring their conscience.
Amen
