Yesterday was a long day – but filled with amazing sights and a great time of exploration. We went to the Biltmore Estate in Asheville – the largest private residence in the US. It’s an awesome house. We took a bazillion photos and I will have those up when I finally process them all! After the Biltmore and a lovely picnic on the lawn by the lake, we headed up the road to the Grove Park Inn – a resort hotel built in the 20s. I have had the privilege of coming to the Grove Park on a few occasions and it was a pleasure to show Dave, Liz and Robert the beauty of the place. All in all a great day and alot of fun.
Today, Robert and I headed to the outlets in Gaffney, SC and the we spent the evening with Dave & Liz’s neighbors – grilling out and playing cards. We laughed a ton and really had an enjoyable time.
Sounds like a good time as does going to the Inn to partake of the spa! 🙂 Ooooh someday!!
sure you guys rub it in while I’m at work! Miss you all!!!
I’m so glad you got to go to the Biltmore. Meredith, Samii and I had the best time when we were there. I especially liked the underwater lights in the pool, the two-lane bowling alley and the “dumb” waiters. Those were some pretty spectacular feats back in the early 1900’s.
Hey, I just realized… what happened to your cool eyeball shot?
