Over the years on this date, I have noted the significance of eleven eleven. Many times throughout the week, I will send a text message at 11:11 to several friends, reminding them of “double blessings.” Every good and perfect thing comes down from the Father of lights – the unchangeable God who loves to give us amazing gifts – so often above anything we can ask or imagine! (James 1:17, Ephesians 3:20). A few years back, a spiritual awakening in KC started at the IHOP-University and lasted nearly a year. It was an amazing time of repentance, freedom, healing, praise, prayer and revival. I will never forget standing in that room in the midst of that move of the spirit and just how beautiful it felt to be immersed in the love of God. It was like a tangible sense in the spiritual realm. Later, at the OneThing conference that year, it had been going for nearly two months by then and the joy and praise at that conference was just incredible. Being there with 25,000 others and standing up at the front of that room in a crowded sweaty mess of people who were jumping and praising God at midnight was the best way ever to end the year and bring in the new year. So I think back on those days, and think of the many blessings that God brings to me every day. I experience his favor, his love, his provision, and know that truly the Lord is good and His mercy endures forever and ever.
