51 million Americans (so far) signed up to be placed on a do not call list to avoid the annoying telemarketers. 51 million. That’s a pretty decent sized number. Yet SOME LAWMAKERS think it is unfair to the telemarketers. Who are these people? Do they have a clue about reality? When 51 million people say they don’t want something, don’t you think that would send a signal to those in power that this must be an issue that they should be working FOR the people and not AGAINST THEM? I truly believe that the folks in Washington has no clue about life in the rest of America about 95% of the time. Seriously, I think it would be awesome to make them work for one year for the average American salary, in a blue collar job, with the average American debt, with none of the fat benefits they have and then see how they feel after a year. I think they might think differently about some of the asinine policies they propose – including get called at 7am on a Saturday morning by someone selling long distance phone service.

Have anyone of you guys either called or written your politicians and expressed your opinions. One has to get involved and express their pleasure or displeasure at the politicians who serve you, but we like to bitch and do nothing so where does the fault lie?
Joshua, another wonderful point made. Many times politicians are screwed up. What is that? Gayness my friend, gayness.
