Day of Healing

Posted on Monday 12 November 2007 by Joshua

The morning service went until 2 yesterday… It was incredible. We had some men and women here from California (Bill Johnson’s ministry) who spoke on healing. One thing that was said was that sometimes when something is really happening, you feel like you are on fire – your passion level is up, your excitement is high. But often, the reality is that you are NEAR the fire and that makes you hot. The test is that when you leave (ie. OneThing, IHOP-KC, other exciting conferences/ministries) you REMAIN on fire and impart that passion to others. What they spoke was so practical and radical – of young kids (revivalists) who speak words of knowledge, who preach at football games, who walk up to people and pray healing for them…and they get healed. After all, FAITH, the said, is spelled R-I-S-K. Even whe you don’t see immediate results,  it does not matter because it has nothing to do with you, but all to do with Jesus. You pick up and move on and pray again just like you were doing it for the first time.

In the meetings yesterday they spoke many prophetic words to various people and it was so awesome to actually know the person (the team from CA had no idea who they were) and hear that what was spoken was so right on. Last night’s meeting was so packed. There had to be at least 450 people there. We started at 6pm and there were still many people there when I left a little after 11pm, but it was amazing. So in that hot stuffy room, the Lord showed up. And I have to admit that some of it appears a little bizarre, and would probably freak people out, but at the same time, the spirit does different things to different people. I wasn’t even able to write anything last night because I had to stand the entire time, but I know that many people came hungry and left filled and encouraged. Words of confirmation were given about the ministry and direction we are heading, and thought this season has been one of dryness and death to everything we thought we were, we know that out of it, new life will come and bring restoration of the original vision and a refocused strategy. God’s will and destiny for us will be accomplished!
