As I was driving down SR19 in Elkhart yesterday, This sign caught my eye at the local Burger King. I am not sure if they were trying to re-emphasize the fact that their omelettes are in fact so large that they need to state it twice, or maybe they really didn’t know that enormous means huge. In any event, I got a kick out of it.
We also tend to have a very lazy sense of speech most of the time. I imagine the guys at Burger King putting there heads together, sitting around wondering what to put on the sign and then hearing a youthful customer at the counter say “Dude, that enormous omlett sandwhich is huge”. Nevertheless, I do like the whole take on the “very popular to the masses” comment.
hmmm…. you know, i never thought of it like that… that could very well be the case!
Maybe they meant that their enormous omelette sandwich is very popular among the masses…?
