I saw this image on Matt Nightingale’s blog and thought I would post it here as well. This one is for Liz Carey, who refuses to drink coffee from those “local stores.” (That was what she stated while we were in Asheville. Needless to say, we all ended up at the Bucks.)
Why would ANYONE refuse to drink from the local stores??? Especially compared to places that are totally for abortion and other inhumane things? The Refinery Cafe has GREAT coffee and its a “local store”!!! 🙂 Love you, Liz!
Now I’ll start with, I drink Starbucks everyday, however, you know that they also pay for my bills and send my wife home with free coffee every week. I will also say that I’m a sucker for the ‘locals’ and I’ll try them at least once (typically not more than that though because I compare them to Starbucks). I have found a little shop here in St. Clair, “Sues” and it has made a nice alternative since Starbucks doesnt have a location close enough. Guess they’ll have to add a few stores, I know a great choice for a manager! 😉
Yikes! I sound like a snob and this coming from someone who only started drinking coffee a year ago… Well, what can I say? I have always liked to find a groove and stick with it. I’ll try to branch out a bit more. 🙂
P.S. That is one wacked out picture.
rumor has it that corey stark is back on the sauce. that’s what i heard josh say any way.
hey look! it’s my old friend vegan4life … aka … corey, mert or samii! and yes, corey is drinking coffee, but he was so nice the other day and bought robert and i both some starbucks on the celebration of 21 days without it! actually, i felt good almost the whole time (no meat or sugar, and lots of brown rice and wholesome veggies and fruit) and saved a bunch of money by not going out… there’s probably a lesson in that somewhere. in the words of kirk bennet – “fasting is enjoyable! throw away the twinkie for a day. you will live and not die! i can testify!”
Wow! Two things I didn’t know: 1. Corey is drinking coffee. Arabian Mocha? 2. Kirk’s quote. Was that from “Why a House of Prayer?” On a side note… Kirk has been hugely pushing this stuff called Gano and it was supposed to be this “all natural” coffee substitute. He just found out recently that it has caffeine in it!! Long live The Bucks.
Coffee substitute: ground roasted Dandelion root. No caffeine, and dandelion root is very healthy for the body! 🙂
