The past week was just incredibly busy. We had a graduation party for Candy yesterday, and pretty much the whole week (especially afternoons and nights) we were just working on the lawn and gardens. From weeding the mulch beds, to planting tons of flowers, to mowing and trimming, it certainly was a bunch of work. But the party went well, and even though it rained yesterday for a brief time, we were able to enjoy being out on the lawns and deck.
I am pretty excited. I got a new truck for work. Well, ok, it is not exactly new, but it is new to me. It’s a 1994 GMC Sierra Pickup. It has been on the ranch for the past 2 years, so it was pretty nasty, but I did clean it up pretty well. If I am going to use a vehicle, it is importnant that it will be clean while I am using it. It needs some work – like a new power steering pump, hinge adjustment and an oil change (which it is getting today) and I think it might need some tie rods ends or something. I discovered this the other day as I attempted to drive it down the road and as I hit 45 mph, suddenly, it turned into this wobbling, shaking machine. I thought I was going to lose control of it. So anyway, I need to get that fixed. Then a guy is going to donate a trailer, so I need to get a Reese hitch put on. It is exciting to me because it will be so nice to have a truck and trailer to use instead of having to beat my 4Runner all the time.
