Bizarre story of the day… I am driving to Fort Wayne. It starts raining pretty hard on the way. Then it starts hailing. I make it to where I am going (Best Buy) and pull into the lot at 5:50 pm. Apparently, at 5:45 a tornado had touched down and had strewn cars all over the place. They were flipped upsidedown, stacked on other cars. It was like a movie. Everyone from Best Buy was in front of it, and I noticed that several of the stores had broken windows and stuff like that. So I was walking over to Old Navy, and suddenly all these people are just running like mad and screaming “It’s gonna blow up!” Well, despire my typical skepticism, I wasn’t about to find out whether they were running like lemmings or whether it was legit, so I ran with the crowd. I guess there was a gas leak in one of the stores that the roof had blown off of. Anyway, I decided I would leave and not stick around much longer. Surprisingly, no one was even hurt.
I have been cleaning the house over the past few days. Trying to spruce it up since it will be listed on June 1. Why is it that you fix your house up to sell, when if you had just done it earlier, you could be enjoying it nice while you lived there? Maybe I am weird. I went apartment hunting today. I really would like to find a loft in downtown Warsaw, but my options are pretty limited. I might just have to settle for the typical 2 bdr. box out by the cinema.
I am going to Michigan City on Monday. I had forgotten I got the day off until yesterday, so I am pretty happy about that.
