Finally – here they are… pics from the north. You will see lots of pictures of the lake…as that is where I was enjoying life most of the time while I was up in Mackinac. The ferry boats ran all day back and forth to the island and shot tremendous jets of water behind them….
Back from the North
Since Wednesday afternoon, over 1,500 miles have been added to the odometer of the BMW. So now it’s much closer to that magic 200,000 mark. It was a brilliant time away for me. My destination was northern Michigan – Mackinac. For some odd reason, it is spelled Mackinac but pronounced Mackinaw. Must be a French…
Resting
Such a wonderful day… do I have to go back home tomorrow? Today: Rode on a ferry. Rented a mountain bike and road for miles – up and down forest trails, beside shorelines and pines… all in peaceful bliss. Sat on the beach and read Anne Lamott. Wrote. Prayed. Thought. It’s wonderful.
