Aurora Borealis

At this point we thought we might be visited by angels. This happened very suddenly – it started as a tiny starburst and then the rays of light began to radiate out of it and soon it looked as if the whole sky would just crack open.

The color shift when the sky went from pinks and reds to green rays.

Last night at around midnight, Liz Carey came running in and told me that the Northern Lights were going on. Having never seen them before, I was pretty excited. Man alive… amazing amazing. It was so awesome! The colors and light would just race across the sky. Shifting patterns and rays interacted with the clouds, speckled with stars. Even though it was like 30 degrees out, we stayed out there for quite a while until the clouds covered the skies. Dave got some really nice pictures, but those can’t even begin to capture the motion and subtleties that we could see. God is amazing. Another expression of artistry that blows me away.

You know, I have always dreamt of so many things that,I want to accomplish before I die. But I could go home to heaven right now. Those pictures just make my heart smile, long and ache for HEAVEN!
