Amish Hillbillies

Posted on Friday 3 July 2009Friday 3 July 2009 by Joshua

If anyone has lived in north central Indiana for any length of time, it is a foregone conclusion that you will, at some point, encounter the Amish. Yesterday, as I was driving past Aldi’s in Goshen, I saw this buggy and had to stop and take a pic. I love the fact that not only does it have auto bucket seats bolted to a board, but that it also has lawn chairs screwed to the back. I don’t know if it is just the modern evolution of the Amish or a rebellious young person, but this is definitely “Amish Hillbilly” to the max! I love it.

That’s too funny. “Won’t use electricity like the English but we can hill-billify the carts we use.”

I live in Goshen and see this almost on a daily basis. I always call this their “convertible”. I think it would be cool to ride on one and feel the wind hitting your face.
