Every knows that most American’s guilty pleasure is watching American Idol. I haven’t watched the show since season 1 and then after that every great now and again I would catch it. This season I did get to see some of the beginning episodes which, as Simon would say, featured some of the most abysmal lack of talent I have ever seen. I caught the end of it last night, and I have to say that the person with, BY FAR, the most talent and who has poise, professionalism, and just a sweet spirit is Melinda Doolittle. I think she is an amazing singer and definitely deserves a place at the top of this show. This other guy that everyone is so enamored with – Sanjaya… yeah, he needs to not be on there. There are people, like Howard Stern, trying to keep this guy on… because another guilty pleasure of Americans is watching (and mocking) bad singers/performers. It’s all quite fascinating, really. It is. Really.
I must say I have faithfully watched it almost all season so far. You are right! Sanjaya needs to go home. I love Melinda, you are right about her and her sweet spirit. Also I think Lakisha is great also. Then I do love lil Jordyn Sparks 17 year old beauty. For the guys I love Chris with the big fro! I think he is great. I was so sad that Sundance was asked to go home. He was GOOD! well, I must say I watch it all on Friday night cause my friend DVR’s it for me. SO, I shall see what the fate holds for this evenings eliminations! 🙂

WHOA!!!! I went to the shortcut on “Vote for the Worst”… people REALLY take American Idol seriously… I don’t think I’ve seen all those words together EVER! Anyway, I, too, am an American Idol fan this season… I can’t even look at the TV when Sanjaya comes on… not very Christ like… It’s irritating that the good singers are being sent home because of the “humor” of people who just don’t care… 😀 Hahaha!! I totally sound like those people on the other site.. only Rated G! K… 🙂 That’s it for now.
hey Josh did you see Chris ( with the fro) is a graduate of Bob Jones and they are a little worried about all the secular music he will be exposed too and have to sing. Found it interesting.
I love Melinda!! She is so cute, sweet, and gracious. You can tell she is strong! I love how she stands for Christ. And something in you tells you its real. I don’t believe she is at all a fake. I would be shocked if anything about her would change if she won. And Aretha Franklin as her fav is not at all a surprise.
