I can think of no better song than this one to describe my afternoon. “Lord I’m amazed by You, Lord I’m amazed by You, Lord I’m amazed by You, How You love me… How wide, How deep, How great, Is Your love for me…”
One of my goals after I became debt free was to save up for a new computer. Specifically, a 24″ silver iMac. Today, a brand new, still in the box, 24″ iMac was given to me. Why? Because God is good and he uses willing and giving people to accomplish His good pleasure. I was beyond stunned and am so thankful that I now have an amazing tool to better work unto the Lord. The line that runs through my head is from Facing the Giants when Coach Taylor says, “Now you tell me what’s impossible with God!”
Those who know me, know that I always name my computers… and this is no exception. This one is Malachi, after Malachi 3:10 which says, “Bring your tithe into the storehouse…Test me in this and see if I don’t open up heaven itself to you and pour out blessings beyond your wildest dreams.”
Tonight as I sit here, I can only repeat that God is good and I am amazed.
This is so awesome! I can’t wait to see it. I’ve known you for over eight years, worked in the same office space as you for about three years and I never knew that you named your computers. How did that happen? What was the name of your most recent laptop?
I am so excited for you!! What an awesome blessing!! 🙂
p.s. I am still waiting for you to get back with me on our phone conversation. Talk to you soon friend!!
Liz – here’s the deal:
The first Laptop I had was Dumafachi, at the college my computer was called Dymaxion (after Buckminster Fuller). Then when I bought the big computer for the office it was Genesis (new beginning). My current Laptop is called Forerunner. I can’t remember all the names of my older ones though.
It’s a beauty Josh. An artist has to have the tools to do beautiful work. Enjoy God’s blessing to you and God bless your gift giver.
You really deserve it, and the Lord know!! Liz I didn’t know that either!!!
Dude! Amazing, lovin’ it. We’re looking at jumping into the macbook world end of September so we’ll be new mac buddies! Your a blessed man Josh Petrillo!
